The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Arnold Sargeant can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My home away from home

I met Arnold's wife Kit back in 1978 when I worked at the Maxwell Museum. She was seeking advice and guidance for the archaeological find they had discovered. I lost touch in the meantime. Then about 2010 I had some family business in Albuquerque and I remembered that Kit had a bed and breakfast. I looked it up, met Arnold and a true friendship was born. Unbeknownst to me I learned of Kit's tragic death, a great sadness for Arnold. I had the great fortune to stay at Casita Chimisa (which had become my home away from home by now) in mid-March and to visit with Arnold and take him to the Frontier Restaurant (one of Kit's and Arnold's hangouts in their student days). As I prepared to leave, Arnold attempted to under-charge me as was his usual generous nature, I will miss you Arnold and I will miss Casita Chimisa but I know Kit has been waiting a long time for you. Rest in Peace my friend.
