Obituary for Albert Anthony Gallegos

Albert Anthony Gallegos, a lifelong resident of New Mexico passed away peacefully in his home in Santa Fe, NM with his wife by his side on May 20, 2016. Albert was a beloved husband, father, and brother. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on February 12, 1940 and resided in Albuquerque, Taos, and Santa Fe during his lifetime. He owned and operated a successful business in Insurance, Real Estate, and Tax Accounting for over 45 years in the Albuquerque area. Albert attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and the University of New Mexico. He was a very active and devoted member of the Alumnae of St. Mary’s Catholic School. Three of Albert’s most cherished interests were New Mexico history, his heritage, and genealogy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Gallegos; and one sister, Lillian Chavez. Albert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ginger Walker Gallegos; his two daughters, Monique Diekroeger of Atlanta, GA and Janelle Moltz of Denver, CO; three grandchildren; his sister, Charlene Montoya of Dallas, TX; and three brothers, Robert Gallegos of Santa Fe, NM, Gilbert Gallegos of Tega Cay, SC, and Paul Gallegos of Albuquerque, NM.
