Michael Eugene Malone
Michael Eugene Malone, born August 14, 1945 in Stroud, Oklahoma, died peacefully at home on Sunday September 25, 2016. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force who honorably served for more than 20 years. Legend has it, his birth ended the war in Europe. The doctor stepped out of the delivery room to fire a celebratory shotgun shot.
He was the loving husband of Janet Chapman-Malone, step-father of Steve Chapman, father of Kelly Dowling and Julie Malone, grandfather of Chase, Ashley, Casey, Jacob, and Chandelle, great-grandfather of Aiden Daniel, and is also survived by his brother, Brad Malone.
He was an honest man and a mentor in many ways to those who knew him. His smile was infectious. People gravitated toward his warm nature – Mike Malone was a good man. He was loved profoundly, and he took care of his family and loved ones tirelessly.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman. He particularly enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a damn good dancer!
In lieu of sending flowers, Mike’s family asks that donations be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
