Obituary for Betty Arlene Higgins

Betty Arlene Higgins, 89, went to be with her Daddy in heaven on March 15, 2017. Betty was born on March 15, 1928 to Charles E. and Katherine Townsend Quass Jr. in Canton, Ohio.
Betty is survived by her four daughters, Dawn Higgins, Linda Higgins, Alice Wylie and husband, Stephen and Lori Sturgess and husband, Tracy Kuntz; daughter-in-law, Connie Higgins; 11 grandchildren, Tommy, Chad, Ami, Kelly, Kristene and husband Brandon, Tim and wife Stephanie, Christopher, Andrea, Jon, Sarah and husband Bryce, Jeremy and wife Michelle; nine great-grandchildren, Coleman, Connor, Megan, McKenzie, Parker, Leah, Connor, Joshua and Devin; and niece, Christie Boyer.
She will be missed by numerous relatives, friends and all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, "Uncle" Bob Quass; husband, Calvin Higgins; son, Charles Higgins; and grandsons, Marc Higgins and Scott Campbell. Betty was a 1945 graduate of Albuquerque High School. Betty was known for her strong voice which she shared in her church choir and various singing groups. She also enjoyed many crafts especially sewing which she taught her children.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH – University. Inurnment will take place at West Lawn Cemetery in Canton, Ohio at a later date.
